Blog: Is No News, Good News?
Apparent lack of developments are just part of the fog of investing.

For most of the week the markets acted as if there was no news. So the AI story continued to propel the stock market to new highs. But beneath it all there was a steady drum beat of . . . nothing. At least, nothing new.
Sure. CPI and PPI took off, but we knew that would happen. The US-China summit produced little of substance, but that was also not much of a surprise. Oil prices continued rising, once again staying above $100/barrel. No surprise there. Then global bond yields rose.
