Blog: Is the Market Fractal?
It's about statistics and behavior, not price patterns.
As many of you know, much of my life's work has been analyzing fractal characteristics in markets and economics. Unfortunately, confusion abounds on what it means to be fractal. This has led to a lot of dead ends in research and also frequent dismissal of anything termed fractal by academic researchers when it comes to investment finance.
In this post, I'd like to discuss the definition of fractal that I use and what that means for the Fractal Market Hypothesis.
